A flexible workspace marketplace that handles multi-sided booking complexity

AnyWorkspace is a Hong Kong-based tech startup offering a personalized service for businesses to find quality workspaces for short-term and long-term use.

The problem archetype

The operation was similar to Airbnb, but with added complexity. Pricing and availability logic varied by space, duration, and amenities, which made search and checkout unusually complex for a two-sided marketplace. Users might book by the hour, book multiple spaces, or manage different amenity requirements. At the same time, space providers needed an easy way to list and manage their spaces.

Our execution

We rethought the entire customer experience to support both sides of the marketplace: simple onboarding and management for providers, and flexible, precise search and booking for users. We designed a booking flow that let users compare spaces by use case — meeting, event, hot desk — rather than forcing them to decode listing categories. The design balanced simplicity with the depth needed to optimize productivity and time.

The outcome

The platform launched in Hong Kong and expanded quickly across Singapore, Jakarta, Sydney, Seoul, and other Asia-Pacific markets.
