A brand identity rooted in Hong Kong culture, built for a new advertising medium

XGD Media is a next-generation out-of-home advertising company delivering unique, impactful, interactive advertising spaces. The leadership team asked us to create a brand identity and website that would position the company as an innovative new player in the media landscape.

The problem archetype

The name XGD came from a piece of Hong Kong slang, giving the brand an emotional connection to the city. The challenge was to translate that cultural idea into a visual system that also communicated technological innovation and advertising impact.

Our execution

We worked closely with the XGD team to explore the intersection of culture and technology. The final identity brought together the city skyline, modern glass buildings, and bamboo scaffolding — symbols of old and new Hong Kong — into a clean, modern design treatment. The system also had to scale from website to large-format outdoor screens and physical installation surfaces.

The outcome

A brand and website that felt locally authentic and technologically ambitious, giving XGD a strong entry point into the interactive advertising market.
